Rare antique 9 mm pinfire cartridge

$19.00

Rare 9 mm pinfire cartridge, head stamp “BB 9”.

A very early (1830’s-1860’s) obsolete type of metallic cartridge for handguns. The “pin” would stick out of the side of the revolver cylinder, and the hammer would strike the pin, which would ignite the primer.

Initially invented by C. Lefaucheux for his pin fire revolvers, these rounds did find use in the American Civil War, since both sides ended up buying guns throughout Europe, including Lefaucheux revolvers.

The examples shown here are non-dug and in very good condition for their age.

PRICE IS FOR -1- (one) CARTRIDGE.

Two available.

PLEASE NOTE that all live ammunition will be shipped with UPS (it is illegal to ship ammunition through the US Postal Service), and can only ship to a physical address INSIDE THE US.
